The third engine available in the 2019 GMC Sierra is an all-new 3.0-liter inline-six-cylinder turbo-diesel engine that is also coupled with the 10-speed automatic transmission. 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 Towing Capabilities and Performance The 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 has a reinvented cargo area with the most innovative tailgate ever. The GMC MultiPro® Tailgate offers six different functions to meet and exceed your needs to make it more convenient to load up and hit the road. The MultiPro tailgate offers six functions: Primary Gate: Allows you to open the standard tailgate using the key fob's power release button, from a button inside the truck, or from a button on the gate itself. Primary Gate Load Stop: When the primary gate is open, this function includes a load stop that pops up to help prevent items from sliding out of the truck bed. Easy Access: This folds down the inner gate to allow you closer access to the truck bed to load and unload it with ease. Full-Width Step: The inner gate can fold into a large step to make it easier to get into and out of the truck bed. This step can hold up to 375 pounds. Inner Gate Load Stop: This load stop helps prevent second-tier items from falling out on the truck bed.
