An all-weather car? Yes!

Is the Cadillac CTS good in snow? Are you looking for a sedan that's got stamina as well as style, that can stand up to all sort of conditions while providing you with a smooth, reliable ride? Luxury shoppers will no doubt be looking at the Cadillac CTS, and with good reason. This gorgeous, technologically advanced model has been on the scene long enough to have developed a great reputation among high end car enthusiasts. But is the Cadillac CTS good in the snow? Drivers in the Kenosha area and throughout the Midwest won't want to commit to this car until they've found out how it handles in winter road conditions. more For your consideration, we think the following reasons are all part of what makes the Cadillac CTS a good pick for winter driving if you prefer to buy a car over an SUV or truck: Power and drive options: First of all, the CTS is available with all-wheel drive, which for many is a huge deciding factor in which sedan to opt for when they know they'll be taking on snow and ice. Delivering power to all four wheels gives many drivers and increased sense of control and confidence with improved traction. That said, even if you go for the rear-wheel drive, there are plenty of reasons the CTS is till a good pick. For example... Brembo brakes: One of the biggest challenges of winter driving is the ability to brake quickly and safely when it becomes necessary. The Brembo brakes with available Magnetic Ride Control make it easier to feel secure that you'll be able to stop when you need to. LED lighting: A big aspect of staying safe on snowy winter days is the ability to see -- and be seen. With crisp, smooth LED lights that benefit both your visibility and the ability of others to see you coming, everyone is that much safer on the road. Get to know the Cadillac CTS

What does Cadillac CTS stand for? You know the Cadillac CTS. It's that striking, powerful, technologically advanced sport sedan that just won Motor Trend's 2014 Car of the Year. Oh yeah, that one! It's kind of hard to miss.  But here's a question you may or may not have thought of before: What does Cadillac CTS stand for? Today we'll explore a little bit of our favorite luxury sedan's beginnings, including where it gets the name CTS. Then we'll tell you more about the current model, in stock now here at Palmen Buick GMC Cadillac! more The Cadillac CTS was introduced in 2002 as a 2003 model, so it's just over ten years old. Some special facts about its introduction: it was the first Cadillac to offer a manual transmission since the Cimarron back in 1988, though today the sedan is only available in 6- and 8-speed automatic (You can still find a manual on some used models, though, if that's your thing!). The first generation CTS also helped usher in Cadillac's now-famous "Art & Science" design language that still permeates the brand's stunning lineup. CTS stands for Catera Touring Sedan, as the model came in as Cadillac's successor to the Catera mid-size sedan which was produced from 1997-2001. If you have a good memory for things like this, it was "the Caddy that zigs" and had ads featuring Cindy Crawford: Nowadays, the Catera's successor, our mighty CTS, is even more fit for a princess/supermodel. With features that automakers of decades past only imagined in their science-fiction imaginations like the Cadillac User Experience (CUE) information and  media control system with embedded navigation, heated and ventilated front seats, adaptive remote start, and Ultrasonic Rear Park Assist, we think this hyper-modern luxury sedan is one of the best options out there (and the critics seem to agree!). Want to test drive one today? Come on in and see us here at Palmen Buick GMC Cadillac, and see how far the CTS has come.

Cadillac CTS engine sounds are technologically advanced, but still natural

Feel and hear the roar of the CTS Twin-Turbo engine. How important is it to hear the sound of your car’s engine? Well, if you have a performance model vehicle, it probably is a little more important. Even though vehicle manufacturers are making great strides in providing quiet rides for drivers and passengers, the fact is – sometimes we want to hear the growl of our engines. more 2014 Cadillac CTS Engine Sounds At Cadillac, there was great effort devoted to the sounds coming out of the new Cadillac CTS. Understanding that drivers rely on the sounds coming out of the CTS to determine throttle response, engineers on the CTS tuned each driving mode on the CTS to sound a certain way. The result is some great 2014 Cadillac CTS engine sounds. The first mode is Tour mode, which is the most common “everyday driving” mode for the vehicle. The CTS is programmed to provide a purr of refinement when in this mode. The next, Sport mode, provides a little more growl to let drivers know that they are getting some serious response from the pedal. The final mode is Track mode, available only on the CTS Vsport with the Cadillac Twin-Turbo engine. As you can imagine, this version gives off a real “Roar.” (Just in time for Katy Perry’s newest hit). You may be wondering how the company engineered the 2014 Cadillac CTS engine sounds. The process actually includes microphones in the cabin of the vehicle. The integrated electronic sound enhancement provides the “just right” pitch for every driving mode on the new CTS. This doesn’t mean that artificial sounds were used – they were just perfectly tuned using the Bose audio system. So if you needed another reason to try out the new Cadillac CTS, this would be it. Take it for a test drive and take a listen to the engine through the awesome sound system. Hear the roar of the CTS.

How will the new CTS differ from the current CTS?

2014 Cadillac CTS vs 2013 Cadillac CTS The outer appearance is just one of the differences on the new 2014 CTS. By now you’ve probably heard about the new 2014 Cadillac CTS that will be hitting the scene this fall. It’s a full update on a car that has been a very popular model for Cadillac. But the exact components that are updated on the car aren’t always obvious. That’s why we’re taking the time to look at what has changed with our comparison of 2014 Cadillac CTS vs 2013 Cadillac CTS. more It’s difficult to not begin with the outer appearance – considering the new 2014 version of the car has some serious style updates. The 2014 CTS has a lean body and low roofline that gives it a more streamlined overall appearance. And the front, side and back of the car have been completely updated as well. Inside, the new CTS has new craftsmanship and upgraded interior elements throughout that provide a completely custom look and feel. But in addition to the exterior components, the 2014 Cadillac CTS vs 2013 Cadillac CTS comparison brings some changes to light in the engine compartment as well. The 2013 CTS offered two V6 engine options – a 3.0-liter and 3.6-liter six-cylinder. On the 2014 CTS, the 3.6-liter engine survives as a 321 horsepower marvel. But added to the mix is a 2.0-liter Turbo four-cylinder that will have output of an impressive 272 horsepower. And after the initial launch, there will be a CTS Vsport engine offered on a limited basis that will have output of 420 horsepower. From the inside-out it’s pretty obvious that Cadillac pulled out all of the stops when updating the CTS. When the vehicle hits the lot here at Palmen Buick GMC Cadillac, the comparison of 2014 Cadillac CTS vs 2013 Cadillac CTS will be even more obvious to all of us. Until then, we’ll have to wait. But you can still be one of the first to own the CTS by filling out the form on our CTS page.
